Fixed Term New Entrant Position
We are a welcoming, semi-rural full primary school seeking an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to join our dedicated team in our New Entrant class. As a full primary, our youngest learners represent the bright future of our kura, taking their first steps on their educational journey. We are looking for a teacher who can nurture, connect with, and inspire these young learners, providing a warm and supportive bridge between home and school as they settle into early childhood transition.
Our kura values strong relationships, high-quality teaching and learning, and a positive, supportive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. We are seeking a teacher who:
Builds warm, respectful relationships with students, whānau, and colleagues
Holds high expectations for teaching, learning, and student achievement
Designs engaging, inclusive, and purposeful learning experiences tailored to young, emerging learners
Is organised, with strong time-management skills
Ideally has experience in Structured Literacy (Liz Kane Little Learners Love Literacy or similar early literacy approaches)
Contributes positively to the life of our school and wider community.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an energetic, supportive team where learners are at the heart of all we do. This position is fixed term but qualifies for the Teacher Bonding Scheme.
