Year 7&8 

Tuia Challenge 

"Tuia nga muka o te taurahere..."    Our rope is only as strong as the many strands weaved together.

Strands: The metaphor for all skills and experiences we have had.

Our Year 7 and 8 students are involved in the Tuia Challenge with other schools in our cluster (Fordell, Mangamahu, Okoia, Upokongaro and Whangaehu).  The Tuia Challenge provides an opportunity for students to develop their leadership skills, set goals and to tackle new challenges.  Each year there are two physical challenges, a school based community service project and a set of school projects.

Off Site Technology Education 

Year 7 and 8 students attend technology at Cullinane College for 2 hours every week where they have access to specialist teachers in 5 different options.
